Delete your account

In the app

1. Open Complimee and go to You.
2. Under Your data, tap Delete my account.
3. Tap Delete everything.

Your account is deleted straight away. Want a copy first? Tap Download my data on the same screen.

Without the app

Write to hello@gourhit.com from the email address you sign in with, with “Delete my Complimee account” in the subject. If you signed in with Apple and hid your address, tell us so and we’ll find another way to confirm it’s you. We delete the account within 7 days and confirm by email.

Venues

Venues sign in to Complimee for venues with an email code, and delete their account the same way: by writing to us from that address. If your venue is live and you want it removed from the app too, say so.

What’s deleted

• your account and sign-in details;
• your profile: first name, bio, avatar and birth year;
• your visible sessions and looks;
• compliments you sent and received, thanks and connection requests;
• your connections and chats;
• your blocks, settings and notification tokens;
• for venues: your applications and logos.

What’s kept

• Reports you made about other people, without anything that identifies you, so we can keep acting on them.
• Anonymous usage counts. They never contained your identity.
• Backups: our hosting provider’s encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.
• A venue that’s already live stays in the app, no longer linked to you, unless you ask us to remove it.
• Anything the law requires us to keep, only for as long as it requires.

Something smaller?

You can also correct your name and line (You → Edit name and line), pause all compliments, end a chat, or block someone, without deleting your account. To delete something specific, write to us.
